1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. Similar technologies (such as local storage and browser storage) perform comparable functions. They help the Services work, remember your in-session state, keep you signed in, and understand how the Services are used.

Cookies may be first-party (set by us) or third-party (set by our service providers). They may be session cookies (deleted when you close your browser) or persistent cookies (remaining until they expire or you delete them).

2. How we use cookies and similar technologies

Strictly necessary (essential). Required for the Services to function — for example, to authenticate you, keep you signed in, maintain your session, and protect security. The Services cannot work properly without these, and they do not require consent.

Functional. Remember your in-session preferences and state to improve your experience (for example, retaining a choice made during the day). These use browser local storage.

Analytics / performance. Help us understand how the Services are used so we can improve them — for example, which features are used, where errors occur, and overall usage patterns.

We do not use cookies to sell your personal information or to serve cross-context behavioural advertising.

Google Analytics 4: We use GA4 to understand page views, feature usage, and how users move through the Services. Data is collected on an aggregated basis. Google's privacy policy governs how Google processes data collected by GA4. You can opt out of GA4 using Google's opt-out browser add-on.

Sentry: Used for error monitoring to help us detect and fix issues. Sentry may set functional cookies or use local storage to correlate error reports. No advertising data is collected.

4. Your choices and how to control cookies

Browser controls. Most browsers let you view, manage, block, and delete cookies through their settings. Blocking essential cookies may prevent the Services from working properly.

Consent (EU/UK users). Where required by law, we ask for your consent before setting non-essential (analytics) cookies, and you can withdraw consent at any time. Essential cookies are set without consent as permitted by law.

Do Not Track. Some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" signal. There is no common industry standard for responding to it; we describe our practices in this policy.

California (CCPA/CPRA). We do not "sell" or "share" personal information as defined under the CCPA/CPRA. No opt-out of advertising sale or sharing is required because we do not engage in those activities.

5. Third-party providers

Some cookies and similar technologies are set by our service providers (sub-processors) to deliver their services to us. See our Sub-processors list and Privacy Policy for details on how these providers process data.

6. Changes to this policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version with a new "last updated" date.
