Your Data Rights (GDPR & DPDP)

Diyako Tech Innovations Pvt. Ltd., the company behind Scope, is committed to respecting your rights over your personal data. This page explains your rights under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act) of India, and, where applicable, the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and how to exercise them.

1. Your Rights Under the DPDP Act (India)

As a Data Principal under the DPDP Act, you have the right to:

  • Right to Access: Request a summary of the personal data we hold about you and how it is being processed.
  • Right to Correction and Erasure: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete personal data, and request erasure of personal data that is no longer necessary for the purpose it was collected.
  • Right to Grievance Redressal: Raise a grievance regarding our handling of your personal data and receive a response within a reasonable time.
  • Right to Nominate: Nominate another individual to exercise your rights under the DPDP Act in the event of your death or incapacity.
  • Right to Withdraw Consent: Withdraw your consent to processing at any time, as easily as you gave it. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal, and may affect your ability to continue using parts of the Service.

2. Your Rights Under GDPR (If Applicable to You)

If you are located in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you additionally have the right to:

  • Right of Access: Obtain confirmation of whether we process your personal data, and access to that data.
  • Right to Rectification: Correct inaccurate personal data.
  • Right to Erasure ("Right to be Forgotten"): Request deletion of your personal data in certain circumstances.
  • Right to Restrict Processing: Request that we limit how we use your data in certain circumstances.
  • Right to Data Portability: Receive your personal data in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format, and transmit it to another controller.
  • Right to Object: Object to processing based on our legitimate interests, including for direct marketing.
  • Rights related to Automated Decision-Making: Scope does not make decisions about you based solely on automated processing that produce legal or similarly significant effects, without human involvement.

3. How to Exercise Your Rights

To exercise any of the rights above, contact our Grievance Officer:

Please include:

  1. Your registered email address on Scope.
  2. A clear description of the right you wish to exercise (e.g., "I want to access my data," "I want my account deleted").

We will verify your identity before acting on your request, to protect your data from unauthorized access.

4. Response Timeline

We aim to acknowledge your request within 7 days and resolve it within 30 days, except in cases of legal or technical complexity, in which case we will inform you of the delay and expected timeline.

5. Account and Data Deletion

You may request full deletion of your Scope account and associated personal data at any time by emailing gaurav@growyourscope.com with the subject line "Account Deletion Request." Once verified, we will delete your personal data within the timeline above, except where we are legally required to retain certain records (e.g., transaction records for tax/audit purposes).

6. Cross-Border Data Transfers

Some of our service providers process data outside India (see our Privacy Policy, Section 7, for details). Where your data is transferred internationally, we require our service providers to maintain safeguards consistent with applicable law.

7. Supervisory Authority

If you are not satisfied with our response to your request, you have the right to lodge a complaint with:

  • India: The Data Protection Board of India, once constituted and operational under the DPDP Act.
  • EEA/UK: Your local data protection supervisory authority, if GDPR applies to you.
