Data Ownership & Portability Terms — Scope for Teams
Diyako Tech Innovations Pvt. Ltd.

1. What this document is about
Scope is built on a simple conviction: when you prove a skill, that proof should be yours — not locked to an app, and not owned by an employer who provided the tool. These Terms explain who owns what, what "portable" means, and what happens to your record across changes (like leaving an employer). They apply alongside our Privacy Policy and, for organisations, the Master Services Agreement and Data Processing Agreement.
Key terms:
- Evidence Pack: your personal, verifiable record — your Verified Skills, their confidence levels, and your Culture Fingerprint.
- Verified Skill / Credential: a skill you have proved through Scope's practice-based verification, at a confidence tier.
- Personal Account: your individual Scope account and its contents.
2. Your ownership of your credentials
2.1 You own your Evidence Pack and Verified Skills. As between you and Diyako, and as between you and any employer that provided Scope to you, the Verified Skills and Evidence Pack you earn are yours. They represent your own demonstrated capability.
2.2 What ownership means here: you may access your Evidence Pack, share it with whomever you choose (e.g. a prospective employer), and retain it as a personal record. No employer acquires ownership of your personal credentials by providing you access to Scope.
2.3 What you control: you decide whether and with whom to share your Evidence Pack (for example, via a shareable link that you can enable or revoke).
3. The licence you grant us
3.1 To provide the Services, maintain the integrity of your credentials, and let you share them, you grant Diyako a limited, non-exclusive licence to host, process, display, and transmit your Evidence Pack and related data as needed to operate the Services and as described in the Privacy Policy.
3.2 This licence does not give Diyako ownership of your credentials, nor the right to sell them or use them for purposes beyond operating and improving the Services.
4. Verification integrity — how your proof stays trustworthy
4.1 A credential is only valuable if it is trustworthy. To protect the integrity of Verified Skills:
- Credentials reflect genuine, practice-based verification at the confidence tier earned.
- Diyako may suspend, revoke, or annotate a credential if it was obtained through fraud, misrepresentation, or manipulation of the verification process, or where required by law.
- Diyako may take reasonable steps to prevent gaming or fraudulent verification.
4.2 Diyako does not guarantee that any third party (such as a prospective employer) will accept or rely on an Evidence Pack; it is a record of what you proved, for a human to read and evaluate.
5. Portability across employer changes
This is central to the model. When you use Scope through an employer:
5.1 During your enrolment: your employer (as Controller) provides you access, and receives only aggregate and verified-outcome data — never your private practice content (see Privacy Policy Section 9 and the DPA). Your practice remains private; your credentials accrue to you.
5.2 When you leave the employer, or the employer's subscription ends:
- The employer loses access to team dashboards and to your data through the organisation.
- You keep your Personal Account and Evidence Pack. Your relationship with Scope converts to a personal (individual) relationship on Scope's free individual tier. You retain your personal account and Evidence Pack, which continues as your personal credential and remains portable. You may upgrade to a paid individual plan at any time, but no payment is required to retain and share the credentials you have already earned.
- Your private practice content remains yours and private, subject to the Privacy Policy.
5.3 The employer does not take your credentials. An employer cannot claim, transfer, delete (beyond its own copies/aggregate views), or withhold your personal Evidence Pack.
6. Deletion and your choices
6.1 You may delete your Personal Account and Evidence Pack at any time, subject to any legal retention obligations. Deletion is permanent and removes your credentials.
6.2 If you delete or revoke a shareable link, previously shared copies already viewed or saved by others may remain outside our control.
7. Relationship to other terms
These Terms work alongside the Privacy Policy and — for organisations — the MSA and DPA. If there is a conflict specifically about ownership or portability of individual credentials, these Terms govern that specific question.
